Business management system
Peab’s business management system complies with the requirements of quality standard ISO 9001:2000, environmental standard ISO 14001:2004 and the requirements of statute AFS 2001:1 of the Swedish Work Environment Authority. Peab’s business management system consists of three parts: a system description part (manual), a cross reference table for the link between ISO standards and AFS for procedure descriptions and chapters in the system description and a procedure description part.

Quality objectives
Peab sets objectives for the company. Peab’s quality objectives for its construction and civil engineering activities form part of the objectives which the management of Construction and Civil Engineering determine in the business plan. The objectives are based on company policy. The objectives are intended to produce satisfied customers, improvements in the company's procedures and to achieve sustainable development within the area in question. The objectives are incorporated in the respective business plans and are followed up on at division level.

Customer satisfaction
It is Peab’s ambition to engage in honest and trusting dialog with our customers to enable us to together create added value for the customer and thus sustain our long and good relations. Upon termination of major contracts, we hold construction completion meetings with our customers to discuss what has been done well and what could be improved in future projects.

An efficient building process
Through good planning, short decision-making pathways and with the requisite resources, we create an efficient building process, where we guarantee that building and construction work satisfy the requirements placed and are delivered on time. In the project plan, we give an account of the organisation and methods of work chosen to guide the contract towards the right quality.

Constant improvements
The internal audits and production completion meetings enable us to define what works well and what could be done better. In order to improve the skills of our employees, we endeavour to get all employees to participate in annual performance appraisal interviews, where personal training and development plans are established.

Responsibility
Responsibility for quality is a shared responsibility which passes down the line organisation from Managing Director to craftsman. Peab has short decision-making pathways where decisions are made as far out in the organisation as possible. Responsibility and authority for persons who influence the quality of Peab’s products are described in the contract project plan. A support person is appointed in each region in order to support production and the relevant quality work at local level.
