Peab renovates and extends office building in Oxelösund

Peab has signed a contract to renovate and extend Stora kontoret for SSAB in Oxelösund. This is a turnkey contract and the contract is worth SEK 160 million.

The office building will be about 9,000 m2 after renovation. It is one of the region’s larger office building renovations and will be a workplace for 300 people. Priority for SSAB has been creating an inspiring workplace for its employees and sustainable renovation with a low climate impact. Among other things, the renovation reduces carbon emissions compared to new construction as does solar panels on the roof, conservation of drinking water and lower energy consumption.

“We’re very happy to have received the project of renovating and extending the office building for SSAB in Oxelösund. We have solid experience from similar projects and look forward to this project with its fine architecture,” says Nils Staffansson, Region Manager Peab.

“This will be a modern work environment with activity-based work stations, which means that there will be different types of work environments to use depending on what you want to do. The office building will gather together competence, which will enable us in the SSAB family to support each other. It should be inspiring and fun to go to work,” says Maria Lantz, HR Manager for SSAB in Oxelösund.

The project is already underway and is expected to be ready in the spring of 2025.

The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2024.
