This is how Peab processes your personal data
These guidelines describe Peab’s processing of your personal data and are applicable when you use Peab’s services or otherwise are in contact with us.
Who is responsible for your personal data?
Peab AB, or any of the Group’s companies, is the data controller vis-à-vis the processing of your personal data and has the responsibility for ensuring that such processing takes place in a lawful manner.
How does Peab obtain your personal data?
Peab collects personal data about you when, for instance, you sign up for a newsletter on Peab’s website, fill out an expression of interest form for any of Peab’s residential housing projects, attend any of our sales activities, trade fairs or events, contact our customer service centre or in any other manner provide information (such as filling out forms) that constitute the basis for future contracts, or when you provide information so that we will be able to fulfil our commitments to you.
What personal data is being processed?
Peab processes the personal data provided to us. This may concern your name, e-mail address, telephone number, postal address, date of birth and any other information that you have provided to us, or otherwise is necessary in order for us to be able to fulfil our commitments to you.
For what reasons does Peab process personal data about you?
Peab processes your personal data for a variety of different purposes. Primarily, to fulfil our commitments to you, including to provide good service and well-functioning, efficient and easy to access services.
In addition, your personal data will be processed in relation to our warranty obligations, customer and supplier surveys we conduct (in order for us to provide you with the possibility to influence our offers and services), to send out promotional offers concerning Peab’s upcoming projects along with other offers. With the preparation and signing of a contract, it may occur that Peab orders a credit report on you, for the purpose of assessing your creditworthiness.
When does Peab AB have the right to obtain and process your personal data?
In order for Peab to be able to process your data, there must be grounds to do so in the applicable data protection regulation, referred to as a “legal basis.” This means that in order for our processing to be lawful, it is required that it is necessary in order to fulfil the obligations in an agreement with you, or that is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation. The processing of data may also be based on a balancing of interests.
In certain instances, Peab may require your consent before processing your personal data. When you provide your consent in these instances, you will always obtain clear and specific information about what you are consenting to.
Who has access to your personal data?
Your personal data is used by Peab and Peab’s data processors. We will not disclose personal data to other companies, unless we are required to do so due to a law, regulation, decision of a public authority, or to protect our rights or third party rights.
We will never pass on, sell or exchange your personal data to third parties outside of Peab for marketing purposes. Data is passed on to third parties only if this is required in order to fulfil an agreement entered into, or if there are requirements according to a statute or regulation.
How is your data protected?
Peab cares about protecting your personal integrity and privacy. Therefore Peab is constantly working to take all appropriate technical and organisational measures that are required in each individual case in order to protect your personal data, and in general to ensure that the processing occurs in compliance with applicable law.
How long will your data be retained?
Peab retains the information about you as long as is necessary for the purpose we collected it, or as required by law.
What rights do you have?
You are entitled to receive information (free of charge) concerning what personal data about you we have collected and are processing, in a registry extract.
If your information is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, you may want to have them corrected. You also have the right in certain instances to have personal data about you deleted. This applies in situations where, for instance the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, if you withdraw your consent and no other legal basis is present, or if the data has been processed in an unlawful manner. Peab is not allowed to delete certain personal data, such as where there is a statutory requirement to retain the data, for instance in accounting rules, or when there are other legitimate reasons why the data must be retained. At any time you want, you can raise an objection to the use of the data for direct marketing and other processing which is based on a weighing of interests. In such case, you will need to specify which processing in particular you are objecting to. If in our assessment we determine that such processing must nevertheless take place, we must show that there are interests that carry more weight.
