Peab has been commissioned to build a swimming and sports facility in Köping. The customer is Köping Municipality and the contract is worth SEK 340 million.
Peab will build a new swimming and sports facility on a site of 10,570 m2 centrally located in Köping. The swimming pool section will contain a 25 meter long swimming pool, a training pool, a children’s pool and a water slide. Peab will also build changing rooms, a gym and offices. A sports arena with changing rooms will be built in the other section of the building. The swimming and sports facility will share a lobby with a cafeteria.
“We are very pleased to receive this commission,” says Region Manager Nils Staffansson. “Building a swimming facility is an interesting and demanding project. Peab has the expertise required to ensure quality in its construction.”
The commission is a traditional contract. Construction will start in May 2018 and is expected to be completed in September 2020.
The project will be order registered in the second quarter of 2018.
