Peab builds apartments in Ängelholm

Peab has been commissioned to build 65 apartments for rent in the center of Ängelholm. The customer is Backahill Bostäder AB and the contract is worth SEK 144 million.

The property is located in the center of Ängelholm on Fågelsången 3 block, between Rönne River and Storgatan. Three buildings with five to six stories will be built along the edges of the existing car park. A courtyard for residents will be created on top of the car park.

The project will be certified according to Miljöbyggnad Silver and will be furnished with solar panels as a complement.

“We have done several projects together with Backahill, which is an important customer to Peab. We look forward to building apartments for rent for residents of Ängelholm and contributing to making more housing available. It is also great to be able to use a place with an old car park in order to enhance the city. This is a good example of locally produced community building with the environment in mind,” says Olle Olsson, Region Manager Peab.

The project is a turnkey contract. Construction will start in January 2021 and occupation is planned for January 2023.

The project will be order registered in the second quarter 2020.
