Peab builds apartments in Eskilstuna

Peab has been commissioned to build 337 apartments for rent in the center of Eskilstuna. The customer is Willhem AB and the contract is worth SEK 336 million.

Valsverket Block in Eskilstuna comprises new production of 337 one to three bedroom apartments for rent. The ground floor of the building will contain various premises and shared yard areas. The entire property will encompass around 23,000 m2. The building will be certified according to Miljöbyggnad Silver, which means sustainability will permeate the entire project and that translates into a good building for both renters and the environment.

The project will be built in the center of Eskilstuna within walking distance from the local college’s newly constructed premises next to Eskilstuna River, the main train station, nice parks and the pedestrian promenade in the heart of the city.

“We are already building homes close by so it feels really good to continue contributing to sustainable community building when we now further increase the number of homes in the center of Eskilstuna,” says Nils Staffansson, Region Manager Peab.

The project is a turnkey contract. Construction is planned to start in the spring of 2020 and is expected to be completely finished in 2023.

The project will be order registered in the second quarter 2020.
