Peab builds rental apartments in Malmö

Peab has been commissioned to build 73 rental apartments in Hyllie in southern Malmö. The customer is Trianon and the contract is worth SEK 108 million.

Peab will build three apartment buildings in varying heights. The buildings facing the boulevard and square will be three to five floors with 30 apartments and commercial space on the bottom. The buildings in the courtyard will be three stories with 43 apartments.

“We’re proud to contribute with our expertise and to build more homes in this expanding city borough in Malmö. The apartments have a great location alongside the boulevard right by the square and park. We’ve worked closely with Trianon and developed the project together which is a good example of our locally produced community building,” says Olle Olsson, Region Manager Peab.

“We’re happy to finally be able to start construction of our 73 apartments in the area Hyllieäng, which is an important part of the puzzle in building Malmö into a whole and connecting Kroksbäck/Holma with the new Hyllie. The apartments will be built with investment funds to keep rents affordable. Being able to offer priceworthy apartments is an intrinsic part of Trianon’s business and sustainability work,” says Anna Heide, Head of Business Development at Trianon.

The project is a turnkey contract. Construction will begin in the spring of 2022 and occupation is planned for the spring of 2024.

The project will be order registered in the fourth quarter 2021.
