Peab builds apartments for rent in Kalmar

Peab has been commissioned to build 162 apartments for rent in Linnéstaden in Kalmar. The customer is PPE Fastigheter i Kalmar AB and the contract is worth SEK 187 million.

The new borough Linnéstaden is developing in Kalmar. Modern material and well thought out solutions will permeate the project. Linnéstaden, when completed, will contain around 800 homes, stores, assisted living and offices.

The block Puman 2 which Peab is building consists of 162 apartments. The building, which is designed for low energy consumption, will have seven floors and a total gross area of around 12,700 m2.

“We’re very pleased to have been entrusted with further building in Linnéstaden and contributing to development of the new borough. We look forward to starting construction shortly,” says Anders Bergeling, Region Manager Peab.

“It’s fantastic to continue collaborating with Peab and start up the third project in Linnéstaden,” says Johan Nielsen, Project Manager PPE Fastigheter i Kalmar AB.

The project is a turnkey contract. Construction starts in January 2021 and occupation is planned for January 2023.

The project was order registered in the fourth quarter 2020.
