Peab sells office building in Malmö

Peab has today signed a contract for the sales of the office building The Corner in Malmö. The purchaser is Annehem Fastigheter and the divestiture is for an underlying property value of SEK 420 million.

The office building has 7,432 m2, of rentable space and is centrally located in Hyllie. The building was drawn by Wingårdhs Arkitekter and is characterized by its dark facade and rounded corners with their arcade windows. It has been environmentally certified according to Miljöbyggnad Silver and when it is completed it will be certified according to WELL Gold. Most of the office building is already rented to strong tenants such as 5.11 Tactical, apparel brand John Henric’s headquarters and the City of Malmö’s parking company P-Malmö.

“By creating attractive office environments we have attracted good tenants. This has in turn generated interest from investors, which has enabled a divestiture to a good, long-term property owner,” says Göran Linder, Business Area Manager Project Development.

The completed office building will be turned over on December 18, 2023. Revenue will be recognized in conjuncture with turning the property over. Capital gains are estimated at SEK 75 million.
