Peab has been commissioned to rebuild Uddebo wastewater treatment plant in Luleå. The customer is Luleå miljöresurs AB (Lumire) and the contract is worth SEK 157 million.
The project is part of the work on the Eastern Link, where new main pipelines for wastewater are being laid to the plant. Peab will build and install a new intake section with an inlet pump station, preliminary treatment and grit chambers.
“I’m proud that we with local resources have been entrusted by Lumire to carry out this project with focus on sustainability. The wastewater treatment plant is an important community function that will be used for many years to come,” says Jörgen Eriksson, Region Manager at Peab.
The project is a turnkey contract in partnership. Construction will start in the first quarter 2024 and is expected to be completed in the second quarter 2026.
The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2024.
