Peab builds industrial building in Malmö

Peab has been commissioned to build an industrial building in eastern Malmö. The customer is Wihlborgs Fastigheter and the contract is worth SEK 166 million.

The building will be located in the Fosie area and contain offices, warehousing and a processing industry for handling food. The total area will be 10,000 m² and divided into a part with one floor and a part with three floors. The building will be built according to Miljöbyggnad Gold and LFM30 requirements, which is a local initiative to develop a climate neutral construction and civil engineering sector in Malmö.

"We are pleased and proud to have been entrusted with the construction of this new industrial building for Wihlborgs and thereby contribute to the local business community. It's a great example of our locally produced community building," says Olle Olsson, Region Manager Peab.

The project is a turnkey contract in partnering. Construction will start immediately and the building is expected to be ready to move into in the autumn of 2025.

The project will be order registered in the second quarter of 2024.
