Peab renovates high school in Arvika

Peab has been commissioned to renovate Taserud High School in Arvika. The customer is Arvika Fastighets AB and the contract is worth SEK 256 million.

The renovation of Taserud High School includes replacing installations and new surfaces on the walls, ceiling and floor. Two smaller extensions are included in the project: an extension of the existing entrance and an extension of the electric car workshop in the automotive curriculum. The work will be carried out in close dialogue with the school to ensure that the school can conduct its education with as little disruption as possible.

The project is clearly focused on reusing materials. Doors, carpets and other furnishings will be reused and recycled, which reduces climate impact and costs.

"This is an important project for both Arvika and future students. By renovating and rebuilding Taserud High School with a focus on reuse and sustainability we are creating modern and functional premises – while reducing climate impact. We're proud to be able to carry out this work in close dialogue with the school so that teaching is affected as little as possible," says Nils Staffansson, Region Manager Peab.

The project is divided into four phases. The first stage will start in early January 2026 and the final stage is planned to be completed in July 2028. The stages are designed together with the school's activities to fit in with classes and school terms. Classes will move out in stages and return when each phase is completed.

The project will be order registered in the fourth quarter 2025.
