Peab builds school in Solna

Peab has been commissioned to build a new school in Huvudsta in Solna. The customer is Solna City and the contract is worth SEK 438 million.

The new school will be built directly adjacent to existing Tallbacka School, which will be demolished after completion of the new school. The school will house a preschool and grades one to nine. The school building will include classrooms, rec rooms, a school library, a cafeteria and the prerequisite staff facilities. The cafeteria will be equipped with a raised stage and audiovisual equipment so that it can be used as an auditorium for Solna's cultural school and rented out externally as well. In total, the school will be dimensioned for 1,020 students.

The school will be built to meet the requirements of Miljöbyggnad Silver, version 4.0.

"We’re proud to have been entrusted with contributing to building for the future in Solna. As a community builder school projects are always inspiring and we have extensive experience in building educational facilities," says Fredrik Jihammar, Region Manager Peab.

The project is a turnkey contract. Construction will start immediately and the project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2028.

The project will be order registered in the fourth quarter 2025.
