Peab has signed an agreement for the sale of rental apartment buildings in Vellinge

Peab has signed a contract for the sale of a rental apartment project worth SEK 260 million in Vellinge to the Folksam Group. The rental apartments are expected to be completed and transferred at the turn of the year 2027/2028.

The housing project Vallmovallen is located in central Vellinge, within the so-called Campus area, where Peab has been an active part of its development since 2022. The project comprises 102 apartments of varying sizes (one to four rooms) and commercial space totaling over 6,000 m2. by Peab's business area Construction will build two separate apartment buildings on the property. The buildings will be certified according to Miljöbyggnad Silver.

"We're proud that as a community builder we can develop and provide more homes in Vellinge that also have a clear sustainability profile. The Folksam Group is a long-term, stable player and this deal is in line with our strategy to build up these kinds of places while contributing to our other business areas in the Peab Group," says Anders Tojkander, Business Manager in Peab's Project Development operations.

The owner of the rental apartment building project will be the Folksam Group through Folksam Tjänstepension.

"We’re very pleased to be able to add Vellinge 99:148 to our property portfolio and continue our long-term, strategic expansion by acquiring newly produced and modern rental apartment buildings in an attractive location close to nature and public transport," says Jonas Bjuggren, Property Director at Folksam Group.

The construction project is a turnkey contract and is expected to be completed around the turn of the year 2027/2028.

Income recognition will take place upon the transfer at the turn of the year 2027/2028.
