Peab builds new preparation stage at the waterworks in Timrå

Peab has been commissioned to build a new preparation stage connected to the existing waterworks in Timrå. The customer is MittSverige Vatten & Avfall and the contract is worth SEK 121 million.

The need to expand the waterworks is due to the declining quality of raw water. The project includes a building for the new raw water treatment process and necessary connections. The building will have several floors with concrete basins and diverse process equipment.

"I’m proud that' Peab has been entrusted to build this important function for the community and residents of the municipality. Peab has broad expertise in both construction and civil engineering which will be very useful in this project, and we’ll work with stable subcontractors where specialized expertise is needed," says Fredrik Timan, Region Manager Peab.

The assignment is a traditional contract. The project will start in August 2026 and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2028.

The project was order registered in business area Construction in the second quarter 2026.
