Peab has been entrusted with three more of its operation contracts for road maintenance with the Swedish Transport Administration through the exercise of two-year options. The contracts have a total value of SEK 230 million.
The Swedish Transport Administration has contracted Peab to maintain Swedish road networks in a number of operational areas. Two-year options have now been exercised in three out of a total of 24 ongoing construction contracts. These contracts relate to the operation and maintenance of the road networks in Strömsund, Gotland and Tingsryd operational areas. The option period for the three construction contracts is two years, which means that they now run until the autumn of 2029.
"We're very happy and proud to have been entrusted with the extension of three operation contracts where we can continue to take care of the roads for another two years, ensuring safe and passable roads in Sweden," says Salam Jassim, Region Manager Operation and Maintenance at Peab.
The extended contracts will be order registered in business area Civil Engineering in the second quarter 2026.
