Peab renews water and wastewater plant in Trondheim

Peab has been commissioned to renew a water and wastewater plant in Trondheim. The customer is Trondheim Municipality and the contract is worth NOK 136 million, which corresponds to SEK 133 million.

The project concerns the implementation of phase four of the so-called Ladebekken–Rosenborg project. It comprises replacing and renewing water and sewage systems, separating existing systems, building new cable solutions as well as rebuilding streets and renewing streetlights in the Rosenborg area of Trondheim. A total of 3,400 meters of ditches will be dug for water and sewage facilities and 1,300 meters of ditches for sand traps and service pipes.

"The project strengthens Trondheim's infrastructure and is therefore very valuable to the municipality and the local community. We look forward to using our expertise to ensure a robust water supply and wastewater management for many years to come," says Sigurd Svendsen, Project Manager at Peab.

The project will be carried out using 95 percent electric machines. Large amounts of material will be reused and materials such as curbstones, signposts and lampposts will be reused where possible.

Work will begin in April 2026 and is scheduled for completion in September 2028.

The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2026.
