Peab has received a commission for maintenance paving in northern Sweden through four new contracts. The customer is the Swedish Transport Administration and the total contract amount is SEK 253 million.
The projects comprise roads in Jämtland, Västernorrland, Västerbotten and Norrbotten and include reinforcement work, standard and micro milling, ditch construction as well as production and paving of both half-warm and hot asphalt.
"For years we’ve built up a strong and flexible way of working with mobile asphalt units, which are complemented by our permanent plants. This means that we can deliver high quality throughout the northern region, from smaller projects to more extensive ones," says Johannes Pettersson, Region Manager of subsidiary Peab Asfalt.
The Swedish Transport Administration has high climate and sustainability prerequisites, which for Peab entails in part paving with ECO-Asfalt.
"We were pioneers with our ECO-Asfalt concept which we continually develop and improve. In addition, we only use HVO to fuel our asphalt paving, which further reduces climate impact. We’re very pleased with the continued confidence shown in us by the Swedish Transport Administration and look forward to taking the next step together towards even more sustainable paving solutions," says Johannes Pettersson.
The projects will start in 2026 and continue into 2027.
The projects will be order registered in the first quarter 2026.
