Peab builds tenant-owner apartments in Norrköping

Peab has been commissioned to build 46 tenant-owner apartments in Inre Hamnen in Norrköping. The customer is Riksbyggen and the contract is worth SEK 103 million.

In a newly built block, with focus on sustainability, located in Inre Hamnen in Norrköping Peab is building 46 one to five rooms and a kitchen, tenant-owner apartments to Riksbyggen. Four of the 46 apartments in Brf Kronomagasinet will be in townhouse style. There will be a terrace, greenhouse and cultivation areas on the roof. The building will be constructed in wood with a variated brick facade so that it will blend in with the old port’s atmosphere.

Many different aspects of the project will increase sustainability. The building will be climate neutral since the electricity used will come from renewable sources like wind power and solar panels. There will also be a bicycle workshop and bicycle pool to entice more residents to choose biking over driving.

“Riksbyggen is a long-term community builder that has been building homes in Norrköping for years. We now look forward to participating in the development of the new city borough Inre Hamnen with a lazer focus on sustainability,” says Patrik Rosenlund, Market Area Manager for Riksbyggen Bostad.

“As the Nordic Community Builders we’re very happy to be part of Inre Hamnen’s development and we look forward to working together with Riksbyggen,” says Anders Bergeling, Region Manager Peab.

The project is a turnkey contract. Construction will begin in November 2022 and occupation is planned for June 2024.

The project will be order registered in the second quarter 2022.
